Available Services

My services include psychological and educational testing, as well as individualized treatment that includes therapy, behavior modification, and parent training. I work with parents to examine problematic behavior occurring in the home and/or school settings in order to target positive change.

 Therapy

With training and experience in play therapy, cognitive behavioral  therapy, interpersonal therapy, and family systems therapy, I’m able to  create a custom therapeutic plan for each child and family I see. I often use a behavioral approach with younger children.

Assessment

I examine the development of cognition, communication, adaptive skills, fine and gross motor skills, and social/emotional capabilities in children over the age of two.  My goal is to comprehensively identify strengths and weaknesses in order to provide parents and educators with individualized recommendations for improvement.

I’m experienced in several types of evaluations, including cognitive testing,  learning disabilities, attentional disorders, developmental delays, emotional assessment, and Autism.  I utilize cross-battery assessment for learning difficulties to identify a child's unique pattern of strengths and weaknesses.

I truly enjoy the assessment process, and consider it an  opportunity to get to know children and adolescents in a unique way. I provide families  with a thorough review of all test results following each assessment, as well as a comprehensive written report.

 Collaboration

With much of my experience in a school-based setting, I take a multidisciplinary approach to evaluation and treatment.   In order to treat individuals using the "whole child" perspective, I strive to establish working relationships with outside professionals such as speech, physical and occupational therapists, classroom teachers, pediatricians, psychiatrists, and attorneys.
